AISA encourages students to continue their formal education and build a life time career in Sport. Our students will already have considerable aptitude for their chosen sport and some will undoubtedly continue and reach the top of their chosen sport.

Professional sports men and women do earn a lucrative income during their sporting career, but are often ill equipped for careers “after sport”. These career paths include coaching, teaching and sports management. Tertiary qualifications in Sports Science or Management enable our students to further their off field careers.

AISA has plans to offer a semester of 12 weeks duration with some short course specializations. Students can chose from three paths:

1. Sports plus formal English language teaching – students exit AISA at the conclusion of the 12 weeks and would normally enter Australia on a Sports/Business visa.
2. Sports plus coaching certification – students exit AISA at the conclusion of the 12 weeks and would normally enter Australia on a Sports/Business visa.
3. Sports plus full time academics component at the University of the Sunshine Coast – students continue their full time study at University in either Sports Science or Management and would enter Australia on a student visa.

Those students who remain in Australia to complete their undergraduate course may continue their training and coaching activities with AISA.
